At a distance of 25 km from Munnar, Lakkom Waterfalls is one of the popular destination in Munnar, Idukki. The waterfalls is sutuated inside dense forest which orginates from the Eravikulam Plateau and is only 14 kms from Marayoor, which is famous for its natural sandalwood forests.
Lakkam waterfall is just a short walk away from the main road. You can easily park your vehicle on the side of the road and proceed to the waterfalls. With a height of over 50 feet, Lakkom waterfall offers a panormic view of the surrounding area which is splendid.This stream is a tributary to Pambar River which is then merged into River Cauvery.

How to reach Lakkam Waterfalls
Lakkom waterfall is situated between Rajamalai and Marayoor on Munnar - Udamalpet road. You can also catch a bus to Udumalaipettai or hire a local taxi from Munnar to vist Lakkom Waterfalls.
Lakkom Waterfalls Trekking and Entry Fees
Lakkom, although not a big waterfall, is covered up by dense foreste and offers a visual treat to your eyes. This spot is perfect for clicking some awesome pictures with your loved ones.
Visitors have to pay an entrance fees of Rs.20/- at the Ticket Counter and fortunately there is no seperate fees for dslr camera. Also there is a guided trekking programme available for Rs.100 here, with which you can trek along the side of lakkom waterfalls towards few killometers.
