    Located on the south-eastern side of the Shree Padmanabhaswamy temple, the magnificent Kuthiramalika Palace is a heritage attraction in Thiruvananthapuram district. Kuthiramalika which stands for “ Mansion of horses” was built in the 1840s by Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma, the then Maharaja of Travancore. This double storied palace has 122 wooden horses supporting the southern roof. Kuthiramalika Palace is officially named as Puthen Malika Palace.

    It has now been converted into a museum that collects the artifacts, paintings, and instruments related to the royal family.
